About Marcus
Dr Okonkwo runs the occupational programme across all four clinics. He is listed on the FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners and signs the majority of the DOT certificates the group issues.
His view of occupational medicine is unfashionably practical: a restriction that a supervisor cannot implement is not a restriction, it is a sentence. He writes weights, hours and movements, and he phones the employer when something needs explaining.
He also leads the group's OSHA recordability opinions, and is the person the front desk calls when a case is not obviously first aid.
