About Elena
Dr Vasquez decides what our imaging policy is. She introduced the Ottawa ankle, Ottawa knee and Canadian C-spine rules as standing practice, and she audits how often we image patients who did not meet them.
She handles return-to-play assessments for school athletes, using a graduated protocol rather than a date on a calendar, and she is straightforward with coaches about why a player is not ready.
She takes referrals from the other clinics for splinting and for injuries where the first film was normal but the exam was not.
